A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARDING
CONTRACT TO CROWN BODY AND COACH CORPORATION FOR THE ~ISHING
AND DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF VERNON OF ONE NEW TRIPLE COMBINATION
PUMPING ENGINE AND ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 175 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, the City has heretorore publicly advertised
ror bids for the furnishing and delivery to the City or Vernon
or one new Triple Combination Pumping Engine and Accessories
for use by the Fire Department of said City, in accordance with
Specifications No. 175; and
WHEREAS, Crown Body and Coach Corporation has filed
a bid for the rttrnishing of said Engine and Accessories in
accordance with Specirications No. 175 at a cost to the City or
Twenty-rive Thousand Four Hundred Ten Dollars ($25,410.00), sub-
ject to Ca1irornia Retail Sales Tax and applicable local and

state taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That all bids heretofore received for
the furnishing or one new Triple Combination Pumping Engine and
Accessories in accordance with Specifications No. 175 of said
City in response to a notice inviting bids issued October 6,
1953 be and the same are hereby rejected, with the exception or
the bid or Crown Body and Coach Corporation, and that the Crown
Body and Coach Corporation be awarded the contract at the price
named in its bid, to wit: $25,410.00, subject to Calirornia Retail
Sales Tax and applicable local and state taxes, and the City
Council directs the proper city ofricials to enter into a pur-
chase agreement with Crown Body and Coach Corporation ror the
purchase or said automobile.
