RESOLUTION NO. 1727

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REJECTING
3 ALL BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NO.2, WITH TOWER
AND APPURTENANCES, AT 3375 FRUITLAND AVENUE IN ~IE CITY OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNC IL OF 'rHE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, the City Council having heretofore advertised
7 for bids for the construction of fire station No.2, with tower
8 and appurtenances, at 3375 Fruitland Avenue in the City of Vernon;

and

WHEREAS, said bids were opened on the ~ day of
10
11 December, 1953 at 2 o'clock p.m. and referred to the City Engineer
12 for checking; and
13 WI{EREAS, the City Engineer has made his report to the
14 City Council on said bids; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council is fully advised in the matter;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1:
That it is for the best interest of the
18 City of Vernon that all bids received for the construction of
19 fire station No.2, with tower and appurtenances, be rejected,
20 and the same are hereby rejected.

Section 2:
The City Clerk is hereby directed to re-
22 turn to all bidders their certified checks or bid bonds sub-
23 mitted with the bids, and notify the bidders that all bids have
24 been rejected.

Section 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
Adopted and Approved this 19th day of January, 1954.
