A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHORIZ-
ING THE RENTING OF A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX, OR . BOXES, AT ':VIlE, FIR$':f '_.
NATIONAL BANK OF VERNON, AND SPECIFYING THEPEltSOlfS AUTHORIZED
TO HAVE ACCESS TO SAIDSAFEDEPOSTT BOX, OR BOXES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the' City Council of.' the
City of Vernon to authorize certain persons to rent and, have
access to safe deposit box, or boxes, for the City of Vernon, at
the First National Bank of Vernon;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That Vincent R. Poxon, City Treasurer of
the City or Vernon" Gilbert A. Anderson, City Clerk and Deputy
City Treasurer of.' the City of Vernon, and RobertJ. Fu;rlong, Mayor
of.' said City, are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
the Fir.st National Bani: of Vernon to secure for and on behalf of
the City of Vernon, a saf.'e deposit box, or boxes.
Section 2:
Vincent R.Poxon, City Treasurer of the
City of Vernon, or Gilbert A. Anderson, City Clerk and Deputy
City Treasurer of the City of Vernon, with Ropert J. Furlong,
Mayor of."said City, shall have full power and authority to do and
perf.'orm, with reference to both withdrawing or changing from time
to time, the contents 0f said safe deposit box, or boxes, or in
relation to any other thing pertaining thereto" including the
surrender of said safe deposit box, or boxes, and the keys thereof,
and all things which said bank or its agents may deem necessary
in and about the premises.
Section .3:
The City of Vernon hereby agrees to save
sa~ bank, its successor and assigns, harmless f.'rom and against
any and all demands, liabilities, lossess, damages,; or expense
or whatsoever kind or nature, including attorney's fees. which it
shalla.t any time sustain or incur by reason of, e>r 1:aeonseftllenee

1 of its relying or acting upon the terms of this Resolution.

Section 4:
That no rescission, modification,
3 revocation or termination of all or any part of the within
4 resolution or of any powers conferred thereby sha11 be effect-
5 ive as to the said Bank until written notice of the same has
6 been given to the office or branch of said bank at which said
7 safe deposit box, or boxes are rented.
Section 5: .
The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy
thereof to be filed with the First National Bank of Vernon,
and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force
and effect until the City C~)Unci1 of the City of Vernon repeals
the same by another Resolution.
