RESOLUTION NO. 1741
Pi. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DIRECTING
THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT COl'WRETE PAVElVIENT RESURFACING AND
APPURTENANCES, IN 38TH STREET, FROM SANTA FE AVENUE TO ALAMEDA
STREET, IN THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 178 AND PLANS NO. A3-1292 OF SAID CITY.

THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Clerk o~ the City o~ Vernon is hereby
directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the

construction o~ asphalt concrete pavement resurfacing and appur-
tenances, in 38th Street, from Santa Fe Avenue to Alameda Street,
in the City of Vernon, California, in accordance with Specifications
No. 178 and Plans No. A3-1292 of said City.

Section 2: There being no newspaper of general circulation
printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City
Clerk is hereby directed to poat said notice, or cause the same to
be posted, in three of the m~t public places in said City, to wit:
The northwest corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the north-
east corner of Leonis Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the
bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon,
located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said City;
Section 3: The ~irst posting o~ said notice shall be'not
less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the

proposed construction work to be done.
The Notice shall distinctly state the construction work to

be performed.
Section 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full foree and effect.
