RESOLUTION 1753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AWARD-
ING CONTRACT TO LACY MANUFACTURING COMPANY FOR THE FURNISH-
ING AND DELIVERY OF ONE HYDRAULIC SAND EXTRACTOR FOR WATER
WELL NO. 13 OF THE CITY OF VERNON WATER DEPARTMENT. IN
ACCORDANCE WITH DRAWING NO. 1l015-Ex. 33.1 OF LEEDS. HILL AND
JEWETT. CONSULTING ENGINEERS. DATED OCTOBER 21, 1953.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of May, 1954 at 2 o'clock p. m. sealed
bids were opened for the furnishing and installation of one Hydraulic Sand
Extractor for Water Well No. 13 of the City of Vernon Water Department,
in accordance with Drawing No. l1015-Ex. 33.1 of Leeds, Hill and Jewett,
Consulting Engineers dated October 21, 1953; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Walter B. Hollingworth, City
Engineer for checking; and
WHEREAS, Drawing No. 1l0l5-Ex. 33.1 of Leeds, Hill and Jewett,
Consulting Engineers, was heretofore approved by the City of Vernon by
Resolution No~ 1749; and
WHEREAS, Walter B. Hollingworth, City Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of May 14, 1954, advising that the bid of Lacy
Manufacturing Company in the sum of $2,205.23, including sales tax, is
the lowest bid for said work and materials;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon finds that the bid
of Lacy Manufacturing Company is the lowest bid received for the furnishing
and delivery of said Hydraulic Sand Extractor, and does hereby authorize the
execution of a contract with said Lacy Manufacturing Company for the fur-
nishing of the materials and installation to be performed in accordance with
said Drawing No. l1015-Ex. 33.1 dated October 21, 1953 of Leeds, Hill and
Jewett, Consulting Engineers;

Section 2:
That all other bids are hereby rejected and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and empowered to return all checks to unsuc-
cessful bidders;
Section 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to
the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
