A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'l'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
ING THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLING OF ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE
PUMP IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 176 OF SAID CITY,
AND AUTHORIZING 90% PAYMENT OF CONTRACT PRICE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'l'Y OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon did
heretofore enter into a contract dated March 2, 1954, with U. S.
Pumps, Inc., for the furnishing and installing of one deep well
turbine pump for water well No. 7 of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Vernon has
reported, under date of May 27, 1954, that said installation
has been completed in a satisfactory manner, and recommends
acceptance of same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That the furnishing and installing of
one deep well turbine p~~p with appurtenances for the City of
Vernon Vater Department Well No.7, in accordance with ~ontract
dated March 2, 1954, entered into with U. S. Pumps, Inc., is
hereby accepted as being completed in a satisfactory manner in
accordance with Specifications No. 176 of said City.
Section 2:
That there is now due U. S. Pumps, Inc.
under said contract the sum of $8,008.20, being 96% of the
contract price of said work.
Section 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby approves and directs payment of 90% of said contract
price, to wit: the sum of #8,008.20 to U. S. Pumps, Inc. as of
this date.
Section 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
