PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES TO BE USED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION,

MAINS, AND APPURTENANCES, IN VERNON AVENUE FROM ALCOA A VENUE TO
4 DOWNEY ROAD, IN DOWNEY ROAD FROM VERNON AVENUE TO FRUITLAND AVENUE,
AND IN FRUITLAND AVENUE FROM ALCOA AVENUE TO DOWNEY ROAD, IN THE CITY
5 OF VERIfOn, CALI:B'ORNIA, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CITY ENGInEER'S SPECIFICA-

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The City Council of the City of Vernon has as-
9 certained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
10 rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed
11 [by contractors and sub-contractors, for the doing of any work set
12 forth in Specifications No. 1St), which Specifications were duly
13 adopted by the City Council on July 6,

, is as follows:
The general prevailing rate of the per diem wages, rates for

16 Legal Holidays, and overtime work, in the locality in which this
17 work is to be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic
18 needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the success-
19 ful bidder, is determined to be as follows:

Apprentices: May be employed in conformity with Section

20 Foreman: Shall be paid not less than 17~ cents per hour more than
the hourly rate of the highest classification over which he has

For any craft not included in the above list, the minimum
23 per diem wages shall be the general prevailing wages for the
24 locality, and shall be not less than $16_40 per day.

The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a
< 26 working day of eight (8) hours. The hourly wage rate shall be the

1 whom the contract is awarded, and upon any sub-contractor under him,
2 to pay to all laborers, workmen or mechanics employed by them in
3 the execution of the contract not less than the said specified rates,
4 which rates shall be included in the contract to the successful
5 bidder.

Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certi
fy to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
