A RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE OF T~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF VERNON ON THE PASSING OF WALTER B. HOLLINGWORTH, CITY
ENGINEER OF THE CITY OF VERN()N.

6 WHEREAS, Divine Providence has seen fit to terminate
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
7 the mortal career of our friend and colleague, Walter B.
8 Hollingworth, he having passed into the Great Beyond the 17th
9 day of July, 1954; and
10 WHEREAS, by this transition, the City of Vernon has
11 lost a valuable and conscientious servant and citizen, whose
12 sterling worth endeared him to those who knew him best; and
13 WHEREAS, each member of the City Council feels deeply
14 the loss thus sustained;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1:
That this Resolution be adopted by the
17 City Council in regular session, and a copy thereof be spread
18 upon the minutes of this meeting, and a copy of said Resolution
19 be forwarded to the bereaved widow, Dora Hollingworth.

Section 2:
That the City Clerk is hereby directed
21
to certify to the passage of this Resolution.
Adopted and Approved this 21st day of July, 1954.
