RESOLUTION NO. 1769
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
3 ING THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF ONE DEEP WELL TURBINE
PUMP FROM LAYNE AND BOWLER CORPORATION FOR CITY OF VERNON
4 WATER WELL NO. 13, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 177
OF SAID CITY# AND AUTHORIZING 90% PAYMENT OF CONTRACT PRICE.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon did heretofore
8 enter into a contract dated March 2, 1954, with Layne and Bowler Corpora-
9 tion for the furnishing and installing of one deep well turbine pump with
10 direct connected electric motor and appurtenances, for Water Department
11 Well No. 13; and
12 WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Sanitation Engineer of the City of
13 Vernon has reported to the City Council, under date of August 9, 1954, that
14 said Layne and Bowler Corporation has completed the furnishing and in-
15 stallation of said pump in a satisfactory manner in accordance with Specifica-
16 tions No. 177;
17 NOW I THEREFORE1 BE IT REBOL VED:

SECTION 1: That one deep well turbine pump with direct connected
19 electric motor and appurtenances furnished and installed by Layne and Bowler
20 Corporation to the City of Vernon Water Department for Well No. 13, be and
21 it is hereby accepted as being completed in a satisfactory manner in accord-
22 ance with Specifications No. 177.

SEC TION 2:
That there is now due Layne and Bowler Corporation

under said contract the sum of $11,067.09, being 90% of the contract price
of said work and equipment.

SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
approved and directs payment of 900/0 of said contract price, to wit: the sum
of $11,067.09 to Layne and Bowler Corporation as of this date.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shaU certify
