SOUTH GATE AND VERNON. AND IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES,
5 CALIFORNIA., PREPARED UNDER THE DIRECTION OF WILLIAM J. FOX,
COUNTY ENGINEER FOR THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGRY ~ES.

7 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES.AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS" A. W. Phillips" Assaciate Engineer of the City af
Vernon has' recammended to' the City Cauncil under date of August 31,
1954, that Specificatians far the Constructian.af Starm Drain Band Issue
Project No.1 East Compton Creek NO'. 1 Starm Drain, in the Cities af
Bell, Huntington Park, Maywaads S.outhGate and Vernon, and in the
Caunty of Los. Angeles,beapnroved, and
WHERlQAS, the City of Vernan Planning Cammissian has'
appraved said plans and wark; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable that the City Council of the
Cityaf Vernon apprave said p!a:ns and Specificatians in so far as the pra-
posed workwithln the City af Vernon is cancerned and authorize the Dis-
trict to proceed with the constructian as deacribed therein; and
WHEREAS, the Las Angelea Caunty Flood Control District
requests permissi.an to' accupyand use the public streets in the Cityaf
Vernon to' install, operate and maintain s.aid installations upan their
co.mpletian;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE rr RESOLVEID:
SECTION 1: That Specifications far the Canstructian ofStarm
Drain Bond Isaue Praject NO'.. 1 East Camptan Creek No. 1 Storm Drain,
in the Citiea af Ben, . Huntington . Park" Maywood, Sauth Gate, Vernans

PLANNING COM1/rISSION O;F. THE
CITY OF VERNON
We, the undersigned, being all of the members of the Planning
Comr.lission of the City of Vernon, consent to the holding of a meeting
of the Planning Commission at 2:30 o'clock P. M. on September 7th,
1954, in the Council Chamber of the City of Vernon, at 4305 Santa Fe
Avenue, Vernon, California, for the following purposes:
(1) of considering 11Specifications for the Construction of
Storm Drain Bond Issue Project No.1, East Con'lpton Creek No. 1
Storm Drain in the Cities of Bell, Huntington Park, Maywood, South
Gate, and Vernon, in the County of Los Angeles, California"
(2) and for the purpose of considering an agreement between
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and the City of Vernon
\'lith reference to the doing of the work in the City of Vernon required
by specifications for the East Compton Creek No. 1 Storm. Drain.
