A RESOLUTION OF TIlE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPOINTING. R. H. BOCKHACKER CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY
OF VERNON~ AND. DECLARING THE posITION OF ACTING CHIEF
OF POLICE VACANT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VER.N'ON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS,. the office of Chief of Police of the City of

Vernon has been vacant s:mce the retirement of the former Chief of
Police; and
WHEREAS. the City Council desires: to appoint a Chief of
Police for said City;
NOW ~ THEREFORE.. BE IT ;RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the office of Acting Chief' of Police
13 of the City of Vernon be declared va.cant;

SECTION 2:
That R. H. Bockhacker is hereby appointed
15 to the office of Chief of Police of the City of Vernon effective as of
16 October 1, 1954;

SECTION 3:
The City Cler-kof the City of Vernon is
18 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Res:olution and there...
19 upon and thereafter the same shall.be in full force and effect.
