RESOLUTION NO. 1807
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORI,ZING THE PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE DUE ON THE PUR...
CHASE PRICE FOR A PORTION OF LOTS 7 .AND SOF THE 500 ACRE
TRACT OF THE LOS ANGELES FRUIT LAND ASSOCIATION.
THE CITY COWCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1195 the City Council of the
City O'f Vernon. agreed to purehase from the estate of John. B. Leonis~
deceased.. landclescribed in said resolution for the sum of $lS, 202.00; and
WlIEREAS, thereafter the City Council of the City of Vernon
entered into an escrow for the purchase af said p.ropert.y from the Estate
of John B.Leonis.. deceased; and
WliEB.EA,$.. the CityAttorneyaf the City of Vernon repQ.rts:
that the purchase of said property at the price above stated has been.
approved by the Probate Court.. and the TiUe Insurance and Trust Company
is prepared to issue its policyaf title insurance in accordance with the
terms af the escrow; and
WHEREAS, there is a balance due an the purchase price of
said property of $16.. 402. 00 and an addItional unde.termined sum to pay
the escrow charges contracted for by the Cltyaf Vernan;

NOW~ TBEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the title report presented by the Title

Insurance and T.rust Company is hereby approved and the MayQr is
autharized to execute appravalof the same for and on. behalf of the City

of Vernan.
SECTION 2:
The City Treasu+er O'f the City of Vernon is
herebyautharized and directed to pay to the Title Insurance and Trust
Company upan the purchase price af the aforesaid property the sum of
,Hi.. 402-..00 to be used in escrow No. 4205889.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernan shall
