A RESOL.l1TION OF THE CITY COUNClLOF THE CITY OF VEaNON
INCR.EASING THE ORDER FOR WORK TO BE PERFOlU4ED UNDER
PAINTING CONTRACT WITH LOS ANGEI.JSS COUNTY TO FIFTEEN
troNDR:GDOLLARS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, hy Reso.lution No. 1480 the City Council of the
City of Vernon approved a contract with the Co.unty o.f Lo.S Angeles for
the doing of ce.rtain street painting in the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, said contract was entered into. under date of
July 11. 19IiO; and
WHEREAS. the cost o.f labo.r and material fo.r d()ing the wo.rk
has increased since that date; and
WHEREAS, said contract restricted the cost o.fa painting
order to not more than $1,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Co.uncil finds it advisable to. increaae
the amount that can beco.ntracted for under s.aid contract;
NOW, THEREFORE# BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
19 increases the amount of the cost of wo.rk to. he performed under contract
20 with the County of Los Angeles dated July 11, 1950, fro.m $1,000.00 to
21 $1,500.00; .and that in all other respects the Agreement shall remain in
22 full force and effecl as written.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage o.f this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full fo.rce and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of February.. 1955.
