A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A RENTAL AGREEllENT CON-
T AINlNG OPTION TO PURCHASE WITH BROWN -BEVIS- INDUSTRIAL
4 EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR THE LEASING OF A wAYNE STREET
SWEEPER..

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOW.S:

7 WHEREAS" the City Council dof the City of Yernon is desirous
8 of leasing.a street sweeper for use of the Street Department; and
9 WHEREAS", A. W.Phillips", City En.gineer~ has reported to
10 the City Council under date of February 25" 1955" the cost andadvan-
11 tages .of the Elgin Sweeper and the Wayne Sweeper. and recommends the
12 acquisitIon of a Wayne Sweeper" Model 2-450 on a rental agreements
13 with option to purchase;
14 NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 execute a rental agreement ona 12-month basis", containing an option to
17 purchase.. with Brown-Bevis-Industrial Equipment Company.. 6550 East
18 Washington Boulevard" Los Angeles" Calilornias for one Wayne Sweeper
19 Model 2'"'450, as outlined in letter dated February 22... 1955 from. Brown-
20 Bevi.s"'IndustrialEquipment Company to A. W.Phillips" City Engineer.

SECTION 2:
That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
22 authorized to execute .said agreement for and on behalf of the City of
23 Vernon.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
the Sa.me sha.llbe in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of March.. 1955.
