RESOLUTION NO. 1814
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING A DEED FROM THE ESTATE OF JOHNB. LEONIS,
DECEASED, TO A PORTION OF LOTS 7 AND 8 OF THE 500 ACRE
TRACT OF THE LOS ANGELES FRUIT LAND A.SSOCtATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1795 the City Council of the
City of Vernon agreed to purchase from the estate of John B. Leorns...
deceased . land described in said resolution; and
WHEREAS.. said purchase was approved by the Probate Court..
and the balance of the purchase price was authorized by Resolution No.
1807 of the City Council of the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, a Deed to said property has been suhmitted by
the estate of John B. Leoms1 deceased, dated February 28... 1955, for
the property described in Resolution No. 1795, subject to acceptance of
said Deed by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
"
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
accepts the aforesaid Deed from the estate of John B. Leorns,deceased,
dated February 28... 1955.. for a portion of Lots 7 and 80f the 500 Acre
Tract of the Los Angeles Fruit Land Association, and hereby directs the
recording of said Deed with the County Recorder of Los Angeles COuntYi
California.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify. to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of March... 1955.
