A RESOLlITIONOF THE CIT"'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITYQF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A. CONTRACT WITHP.AR:AKOllNT
PEST CONTROL SE:RVICE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHER.EAS.. the City Engineer of the City of Vernon h.as:
reported to th.e City Council.. under date of June 3.. 1955.. relative to
rodent infeatationof City dump on north bank of the Los Angeles River
east of SotoStreet; and
WHEREAS.. the City Council finds. that it is advisable to
extenninatesaid rodents; and
WlIEREAS..A. W. Phillips.. City Engineer.. has:pres:ented a
service contract with Paramount Peat Control .Set'Vice to provide contrQl
s:ervi.ce for rats and mice for one year at the rate of $40.00 fox-the first

monthan~~permonth thereafter# the s.ervice to be weekly for the
first month and twice a month thereaft.er;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1:
That the MayQr and City Clex-k, be.. and they
a.re her~by.. authorized to enter into a contract With Paramount Pest
Control Service to provide control service for rats and mi..ce for One
year at the City dump on north bJinkof LQ$ Angeles River ..east ofSotQ

Street, at the rate of $40.00 for the iirstmonth a:nd~permonth
thereafter.. as set fQrth in said contract.
Section 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Re$olution and thereupon and thereafter
thesameshaIl be in full force and effect.
