6 THE CITY COUNClLOF THE CITY OF YERNON RESOLYES AS FOLLOW$:
7 WlIEREA$, the City Engineer Qf the City of Vernon has reported
8 to the City Council", under date of June 16., 1955. re:I.ative tQcleaningand
9 cleaning mai,ntenanee service Qf sewer lines in the City of Vernon; and
10 W1:IEREAS, the City Council finds that it isadviaable to enter
11 into a contract for the cleaning and maintenance of saidaewers;.and
12 WHEREAS.. A.. W. Phillips.. City Engineer.. has:preaemed a
13 proposal covering complete cleaning and cleaning maintenance set'Vice
14 submitted by .Rodding-CleaningJlachines., Inc., of 7827l1elroseAvenue,
15 Los Angeles 46.. Calliornia.. and recommends that the Agreement be
16 entered into for such service; and
17 WHEREAS.. the City Attorney oi the City of Yernon has apPl:'Qved
18 aaid contract as to form;
19 NOW 1# THEREFORE.. BE ITRESOL YED:

hereby.. authorized to enter into a contract with ROdding....Cleaning J4achinea..
Inc.... for complete cleaning and cleaningm.aintenance service ofs.ewer lines
of the City of Yernonat a contract price of $14.785. QQ for the first yea:x-and
$13.975.. 00 for the second year.. based On securing a two-ye.ar contract.. plus
any payment over $40.00 a day to Los .Angeles Transit Lines during the period

necessary to clean the 36lt aewer in Vernon Avenue between SaItta. Fe Avenue
a..nd Alameda Street.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of V ernonshall certify
to the pa.aaageoI this-Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
