RESOLUTION NO. 184.6
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY QF VERNON
AUT HORIZrnGTHE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES FOR THE PArnTING OF TRAFFIC STRIPES ON
STRE~S IN THE CITY OF VERNON AS DIRECTED BY THE CHIEF OF
POL.ICE OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. many streets in the City of Vernon require traffic
stripes painted thereon; and
WHEREAS~ it is for the best interest of the City of Vernon that
the County of Los Angeles he e.mployed to paint said traffic stripes in
said City.. and that a contract be entered into between said parties setting
forth the terms of their agreement;
NOW~ THEREFORE.lO BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be.. and they
are hereby authorized to enter into a contract for and on behalf of the City
of Vernon.. with the County of LosAngeles.~ for the painting of traffic
stripes on streets in the City of Vernon.. in a form approved by the County
Counsel of the County of Los Angeles and the City Attorney of the City of
Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the amount to be paid by the City of Vernon
during anyone fiscalye.ar .for said work is the sum of $1.. 500.00 unless:
authoriz.ation for such additional expenditure shall be granted by the City
Council. of the City of Vern.on.
SECTIONS:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Res?lution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day ofNovember~ 1955.
