THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS. FOLLOWS:

WHER.EAS,. the. COD.Sqlidated Rock Products: Co... a corporation,.
has: granted to the City of Vernon an easement across a p.arcel of land
being a portion of Sections 9 and 10.. Township 2 South.. Range 13 West..

Phillips, City Engineer of the City of Vernon.. and said easement has

NOW1 THEREFORE I BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
15 hereby accepts the aforesaid Easement Deed,. tqgether with the property
16 conveyed thereby.. and directs the recording of said :Deed with tlreCounty
17 Recorder qf Los Angeles County, California.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resqlution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of August, 1955.

To the Honorable City Council of
the City of Vernon
Gentlemen:
I present to the Council herewith an Easement
Deed from the Consolidated Rock Products Co., which
joins the Easement given by the Long Beach Banana
:DistrU.utors which was heretofore accepted by the City
by Resolution No. 1842.
This easement is more restrictive than the one
given by the Long Beach Banana Distributors in that it
gives the right only for officers.. agents.. and employees of
the City of Vernon to enter upon.. drive over, and cross
said real property for the purpose of fire protection,
police protection.. and for other official business of the City
of Vernon which said City is authoriz.ed by law to carry out.
It is my opinion that this does not convey the right
to place any public utilities in the strip described in the
easement" however it gives the City more rights to the prop-
erly than it now has and I suggest that it be accepted and if
further rights are needed by the CitY1 it can take the neces-
sary action tos.ecure them at a later date.
