A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING DEED OF EASEMENT FROM THE ATCmsON~ TOPEKA
AND SaNTA FE RAILWAY COMPANY$ DATED NOVEMBER 3,. 1954..

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,. The City Council of the City of Vernon has
heretofore authorized the filing of a stipulation for judgment in the case

of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA vs. CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND.

etc., et aI, in the United States District Court, Southern District of
California. Centra.l Divislon. being numbered therein 1064-lifW Civil,
and hag entered into an agreement dated the 3rd day of November" 1954,.
with The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company" providing for
the delivery of a.deed of eas.ement from said $antaFe to the City of
Vernon" and said judgment has been filed and entered; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said judgment and agreement there
has been delivered to the City of Vernon,. a deed of easement from the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company,. dated November 3,
1954, granting to the City of Ve.rnon an easement for street purposes.
over certain portions of Bendini Boulevard within the City of Vernon,
as described in said deed; and
WHEREAS. said deed conforms in all respects. to the said
stipulation for judgment" judgment and the agreement aforesaid, and it
is for the advantage and best interests of the City of Vernon that said
deed of easement be accepted;
NOWII THEREFORE$ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby accepts theaioresaid deed of easement from the Atchison, Topeka
and Santa Fe Railway Company, dated November 3.. 1954,. together with
the property conveyed thereby, and directs the recording of said :Deed
with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and ther~upon and the.reafter
3 the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of September, 1955.
