CITY OF YERNONAND FIXING HIS Co.MPENSATION.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 retires from said empXo.yment on February 1. 1956; and
8 WHEREAS. Harold A. Barnett. . a. registere.d engineer.. has been
9 consulted and interviewed in connection with his acceptance of employment
10 as Co.nsultingEngineer for the City of Vernon;
11 NOW.. THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

That Harold A. Barnett.. a. registered engineer.
SECTION 1:
13 be employed as Consulting Engineer for the City of Vernon beginning as of
14 Feb~ary 1. 1956.; the period o.f said emplo.yment to be at the pleasure of
15 the City Council of the City o.f Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That the eompensation to. be paid said Consulting
Engineer shall be the sum of Nine Hundred Thirty-five Dollars ($935. (0) per
month. For said fee. the Co.nsulting Engineer is to give such technical
supervision over the Engineering Department o.f said City as may be neces-
aary toassuJ;'e the correctness of the wo.rk being done. and to be available
for consultation. with the EngineerlngDepartment or with the City Couneil
during regular working hours at theo.ffice of said ConsultingEngineer~
Said Co.nsulting Engineer shall employ a registered civil engineer, satiafa.ctor""
to. the City o.f Vernon" whose full time shall be placed at the disposal of the
Engineel'tngDepartment o.ftheCity of Vernon and who. shall maintain an
office at the location of the Engineering Department of said City.. said o.ffice
facilitiee to. befurnlshed by the City o.f Vernon.
SECTION 3.:
In the event the City Council instructs the
Co.nsulting Engineer to perform extra duti.eso.r extra work" or to have such
work or any part thereof done by other men or persons employed by.said
Consu.ltingEngineer.. for said wo.rk the Co.nsultingEngineer s.halI receive
