A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS NO. 191 AND CITY ENGINEERtS I)RAWING~
PLAN NO. A4-1378 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FENCE AT VERNON
CITY DUMP~ EAST OF SOTO STREET AND NORTH OF LOS ANGELES
RIVER" IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. A. W. Phillips. City Engineer. has preaente.d to
8 the City Council with his letter of January 31. 1956 a copy of Specifications
9 No. 191 and City Engineerfs Drawing.. Plan No. A4-1378 for the construction
10 of a fence at the Vernon City Dump. e.ast of SotoStreet and north of the
11 Los Angeles River; and
12 WHEREAS. it is for the best interest of the City that said
13 fence be constructed; and
14 WHEREAS. it is contemplated that the cost of construction of
15 said fence will be less than $.2.. 000. 00;
16 NOW~THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Specifications No. 191 and City Engineerfs:
18 Plan No. A4-1378 be, and the same are hereby approved as the specifications
19 for the construction of a fence at Vernon City Dump. east of Soto Street and
20 north of the Los Angeles River. in the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That the Engineering Department of the City of
Vernon is hereby authorized to secure bids for the doing of the work in
accordanc.e with said Specifications No. 191 and let a contract to the lowest
responsible bidder.. provided the total cost thereof does not exceed the aum
of $2.000.00.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Yernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
