RESOLUTION NO.. 1895
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERN()N
TERMINATlNG AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY
DATED JANUARY 261 1926~ COVERING 580 FOOT SPUR TRACK.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS. FOLLO S:
WHEREAS1 und.er date of January 26.. 1926 the City of Vernon
and the Southern Pacific Company entered into an Agre.ement covering the
constructionl maintenance and operation 01 a 580 fo.ot spur track at or nea.r
Vernondale in the City of Vernon; and
WHEREASI a portion of said Spur track is in the City of Vernon
City Hall grounds.. and has not been operative for a long period o.f time; and
WHEREASI the Southern Pacific Company has submitted its form
No. S...3572 for the termination of said Agreementl and is willing to terminate
said Agreement.
NOW ~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Agreement with the Southern Pacific
Company covering the aforesaid spur track.. referred to in the Southern
Pacific Company.s termination agreement as Audit No..T-5219 bel and the
same is hereby terminated on the 21st day of :February" 1956.
SECTION 2:
The May.orof the City 01 Vernon is: hereby
authorized to execute said Termination Agreeme.nt: tor and on behaI.fof the
City of Vernon.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the pass.age of this Resoluti<mand thereupon and thereafter the .s'ame shall
be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of Februaryl 1956.
