" RESOLUTION NO. 1897 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 7 WHEREAS I investigation discloseS{ that there is: a traffic 8 hazard to schoolchildren on each week-day between the hourso! 9 8 o.clock a. m. and 10 o'clock a.m. and the hours of l o'clock p.m. and 10 3 o'clock p. m. on the West side of Santa Fe Avenue beginning at a point 11 50 feet South of the .south curb line of Vernon Avenue and continuing for 12 a distance .of 1.20 feet southerly therefrom.; 13 NOW # THEREFORE.. S.ECTION 2: That the area described in Section .1 hereof shall be painted or posted as required by subdivision 4~ Section.7 o:f Ordinance No. 642 of the City of Vernon.. and amendments thereto. Laufeld, Principal of the Vernon City School requested limited parking on the west side of Santa Fe Avenue at Vernon Avenue for the purpose of parking school buses while loading and unloading children, thus eliminating the driving of buses into the school yard. It is recommended that in accordance with Ordinance #687, a resolution be passed authorizing the Police Department to post signs on the west side of Santa Fe Avenue starting at a point 50 feet south of the south curb line of Vernon Avenue and running 120 feet south, restricting parking between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM daily, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays excepted.
