Honorable City Council
City of Vernon,
California
Your Honorable Body:
Reference is made to a letter addressed to Your Honorable
Body dated January 12, 1956 from the Mindel & Co. and signed by
Mr. Najor Mindel, in which he requested a 30 minute parking area
on the east side of Alcoa in front of businesses located from
4326 to 4336 inclusive.
Investigation discloses that Mr. Mindel owns said
property and has expressed his willingness to pay for the cost
of posting signs. Investigation further discloses that people
operating businesses at the above addresses are desirous of a 30
minute parking area in that location.
It is recommended by the undersigned that in accordance
with Ordinance #687, a resolution be passed ordering the Police
Department to post signs on the east side of Alcoa from a point
50 feet south of Vernon Avenue to the south property line of 4336
Alcoa limiting parking to thirty minutes.
Respectfully submitted,
