RESOLUTION NO. 1916
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. FOR THE
FURNISHING OF ONE TWO-TON 1956 MOTOR TRUCK FOR USE OF THE
4 STREET DEPARTMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS l\l0.
192 APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 1899 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS1 onthe3rd' day of ApriII 1956# at 2 o'clock p.m.
sealed bids were opened for the furnishing of one two-ton 1956),(odel .Motor
Truck" with acces.soriesl for use of the Street Department of said City,
in accordance with Specifications No. 192; and
WHEREAS I under date of April.121 19561 Harold A. Barnett I
Consulting Engineer" submitted to the City Council a letter stating that the
bid of the International Harvester Company was the lowest bid received
meeting the bid requirementsl and recommended that Alternate Bid No. 2
of said Company be accepted;
NOW ~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the Cltyof Vernon
18 does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with the International
19 Harvester Company for one two-ton 1956 Model S-160 truck completel as
20 per their alternate bid No. 2 and trading in the City's 1941 GMC dump truckl
21 fora total price of $2,719.83 netl delivery to be made within thirty (30) days"
22 in accordance with Specifications approved by Resolution No. 1899 of the
23 City of VernOn.

SECTION 2:
That aU other bids are rejectedl and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to unsuccessful
bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
