RESOLUTION NO. 1924
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 CONSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION OF A PORTION OF THE CITY
TO COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT NO.2 OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY.
WHEREAS.. that portion of the City of Vernon.. as hereinafter
described. is in urgent need of adequate sewerage; and
WHEREAS. such sewerage can best be provided bya.nnexation
of such territory to County.sanita.tion District No.2 of Los Angeles County;
and
WHEREAS. it appears that it will be to the public interest that
said portion of the City of Vernon. as hereinafter described. be annexed to
County Sanitation District No.2 of Los Angeles. County;
NOW it THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Vernon. that consent be given to the annexation of that portion of
the City of Vernon. as hereinafter described. to said County Sanitation
District No.2 of Los Angeles County under the provisions of the County
Sanitation District Act. as amended.
The exterior boundaries of that portion of the City of Vernon to
be annexed to CountySami:tatron District No.2 of Los Angeles County are
described as follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of the parcel of land
described indeed toJ. B. Leonis. Inc. recorded in Book 18386.
page 45 of Official Records.. in the office of the Recorder of the
County of Los Angeles; thence northerly.and northwesterly along
the boundary of said parcel of land to the northeasterly corner
of the parcel of land descrihed in deed to J. B.Leonis. Inc. re-
cordeetin Book 18319. page 225 of said Official Records; thence
northwesterly in a direct line to the most northerly corner of
said last mentioned parcel of land; thence northwesterly ina
direct line to the most easterly corner of the parcel of land
described in deed to.J. B. Leonis. Inc... recorded in Book 18343.
page 197 of said Official Records; thence northwesterly along the
bo~ndary of said last mentioned parcel of land to the northeasterly
corner thereof; thence northwesterly in a direct line to the most
southerly southwesterly corner of Parcel 638 as descrihed in Final
Judgment in favor of Los Angeles County Flood Control District in
Case No. 425.. 596 of the Superior Court of the State of California
in and fo~he County of Los Angeles. a certified copy of which is
recorded in Book 16264. page 206 of said Official Records; thence
northwesterly along the boundary of said Parcel. 638 and following
the same in aU its various courses to the easterly line of the

Dis.trict No. 1 of Los Ang~les County as same existed on said date;
thence westerly along said last mentioned boundary to the westerly
boundary of said City of VeTIlon (along the easterly line of the Los
Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company right of way. San Pedro
Branch)} thenee northerly~ westerly and southerly along said last
mentioned boundary to said boundary of CountySanitatlon District
No. 1 .of Los Angeles County; thence westerly along said la.st mene'
tioned boundary to the point of beginning.
:BE IT FURTHE:R. RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to
the pa.ssage of this resolution by the City Council of the City of Vernona.nd
transmit two (2) exeeuted copies thereof to the office of the Sanitation
Districts of Los Angeles: County, 2020 Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles 57,
California.
