RESOLUTION NO. 1928
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING SANITARY SEWER LINE AND CASTffiON WATER. MAIN
AND APPURTENANCES IN 27TH: STREET (A PRIVATE STREET) FROM
EXISTING SEWER AND WATER LINES IN ALAMEDA STREET TO 65.6
FEET EASTERLY OF EAST LINE OF ALAMEDA STREET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. Harold A. Barnett.. Consulting Engineer of the
CUyof Yernon. has reported to the City Council under date of April 26.
1956.. that the construction and installation of sanitary sewer line and cast
iron water main and appurtenances in 27th Street (a private street) from
existing sewer and water lines in Alameda Street to 656 feet easterly of
east line of Alameda street.. has been co.mpleted in a satisfactory manner;
and
WHEREAS.. said Consulting Engineer recommends that the work
be accepted. and that the Long Beach Banana Distributors. Incorporated..
be advised of the acceptance;
NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the installation of sanitary sewer line
and cast iron water main andappumenances in 27th Street (a private street)
from existing sewer and water lines in Alameda Street to 656 feet easterly
of the east line of Alameda Street. be and the .same is hereby accepted as a
part of the City of Vernon water and sewer system. it having been completed
in a satisfactory manner.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to notify the Long Beach Banana Distributors.. Inc. of the acceptance
of said work.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Yernonshall
certify to the pas.sage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
