8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
AND APPURTENANCES IN PUMPING PLANT NO. 3 AND IN THE NORTH
SIDE OF FRUITLAND AVENUE FROM THREE HUNDRED FORTY FEET
TO SIX HUNDRED SIXTY FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF DOWNEY
ROAD IN THE CITY OF VERNON IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 198 OF SAID CITY.

SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
10 hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
11 construction of asphalt concrete pavement and appurtenances in pumping
12 plant No.3 and in the north side of Fruitland Avenue from three hundred
13 forty feet to six hundred sixty feet west of the center line of Downey Road
14 in the City of Vernon in accordance with Specifications No. 198 of said City.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general circula-
16 tion printed# published and circulated in the City of Vernon# the City Clerk
17 is hereby directed to post said notice# or cause the same to be posted~ in
18 three of the most public places in said City# to wit: The northwest corner of
19 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard
20 and Pacific Boulevard# and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall
21 of the City of Vernon. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said City.

SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be not
less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed work.
The notice shall distinctly state the work to
be done and the material to be furnished.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the

same shall be in full force and effect.
