IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 198 OF SAID CITY. 7 8 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECT ION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon has ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate per diem for wages for laborers~ workmen and mechanics employed by contractors and sub-contractors. for the doing of any work set forth in Specifications No. 198. which specifications were duly adopted by the City Council on June 19~ 1956. by Resolution No. 1944~ ts as follows: The general prevailing rate or the per diem wages. rates for Legal Holidays and overtime work. in the locality in which this work is to be performed~ for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder. is determined to be as follows: CLASSIFICATION CARPENTERS Carpenter RATE PER HOUR 3.00 OPERATING ENGINEERS Air compressor~ pump or generator operator Equipment greaser Material loader or conveyor operator Truck crane oiler Concrete mixer operator - skip type Screed operator Skiploader- Wheel type (without drag type attachments) A-frame or winch truck operator Concrete or asphalt spreading. mechanical tamping or finishing machine operator Ford.
