RESOLUTION NO.
1948
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH THE TERMITE
COMPANY.. INC... FOR STRUCTURAL PEST CONTROL IN THE CITY HALL
4 BUILDING AT 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS.. Harold A. Barnett~ Consulting Engineer of the
7 City of Vernon has rep?rted to the City CounciI~ under date of June 1.. 1956..
8 relative to a propos.ed contract for termite control in the City Hall Build-
9 ing at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue; and
10 WHEREAS.. the City Council finds it advisable to exterminate
11 and control said termites~ kalotermes.. fungus.. beetles~ rodents.. insects.
12 and other pes.ts.. and to repair said damage; and
13 WHEREAS~ said Consulting Engineer has presented a contract
14 with The Termite Company.. Inc. ~ to provide extermination services at
15 the City Hall Building for the sum of $1.. 290.00 for the initial work with
16 one year guarantee.. and to provide additional control service for a period
17 not to exceed ten (10) years~ at the option of the City of Vernon.. at an
18 annual cost of $37.50 payable annually in advance.
19 NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Mayor be authorized to enter into
SECTION 1:
a contract for and on behalf of the City of Vernon.. with The Termite Com-
pany~ Inc... to provide extermination services at the City Hall Building
at a cost of $1.. 290. 00 for the initial work.. and to provide additional control
service for a period not to exceed ten (10) years~ at the option of the City
of Vernon~ at an annual cost of $37. 50~ payable annually in advance.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pas.sage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
