1952
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF CROWN BODY & COACH CORPORATION
FOR THE FURNISHING OF TWO HOSE CARRIERS AND ACCESSORIES
4 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 194 APPROVED BY
RESOLUTION NO. 1930 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS~ on the 6th day of June.. 1956" at 2 olc1ock p. m.
8 sealed bids were opened for the furnishing of two hose carriers and acces-
9 sories for use in the Fire Department of the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS. said bids were referred to L. C. Husted, Chief of
11 the Fire Department.. for checking and report; and
12 WHEREAS.. L. C. Husted.. Chief of the Fire Department..
13 reported to the City Council under date of June 25. 1956.. recommending
14 that the contract be awarded to Crown Body & Coach Corporation for the
15 sum of Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Five and 64/100 Dollars
16 ($171 905. 64)~ plus $716.2.3 sales tax.. which is the lowest bid meeting the
17 bid require.ments of the specifications for the aforesaid equipment as
18 approved by Resolution No. 1930;
19 NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby authorize the Mayor of said City to execute a contract with
Crown Body & Coach Corporation for the furnishing of two hose carriers
and accessories in accordance with said bid" and in accordance with
specifications No. 194 approved by Resolution No. 1930 of said City.
SECTION 2:
That aU other bids are rejected. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks to uIlsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and

1 thereafter the same shan be in full force and effect.

of the City Clerk of said City) as designat$d In said specUicaiions and said
notiee inviting sealed proposals or bids. and in compliance mall respects
with said notice inviting sealed proposals or bids, for the sum and in the
