RESOLUTION NO. 1970
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 DECLARING PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES TO BE USED
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF COMPOSITION ROOFING AND APPUR-
4 TENANCES ON RESERVOIR NO. 1 AT PUMPING PLANT NO.1" CITY
OWNED PROPERTY" IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS .NO.
5 203 OF SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
9 ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
10 rate per diem for wages for laborers. workmen and mechanics employed
11 by contractors and sub-contractors. for the doing of any work aet forth in
12 Specifications No. 203... which specifications were duly adopted by the City
13 Counci.l on August 21. 1956. by Resolution No. 1968. is as follows:
14 The general prevailing rate or the per diem wages. rates for
15 legal holida.ys and over-time work in the locality in which this work is to
16 be performed, for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed to
17 execute the contract which will be awa.rded to the successful bidder. and
18 that the Resolution establishing these prevailing rates is on file with the
19 City Clerk of the City of Vernon, is determined to be as follows:

wage rate not less than $2.10 per hour.

The foregoing schedule of per diem wages ia based' upon a
working day of eight (8) houra. The hourly wage rate shaII be the per diem

rate divided by the aforementioned number of hours constituting a working
day.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
8 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
9. same shall be in full force and effect.
10 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of Augustl 1956.
