RESOLUTION NO. 1974
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH MOFFATT &
NICHOL.. INC. .. CONSULTING ENGINEERS.. FOR INVESTIGATING THE
POSSIBILITY OF \WIDENING THE 26TH STREET BRIDGE OVER THE
LOS ANGELES RIVER IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES: AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it
advisable to investigate the possibility of widening the 26th Street Bridge
over the Los Angeles: River in the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS" Moffatt & Nichol, Inc., Consulting Engineers,
have submitted to the City Council a contract for performing engineering
services for said investigation;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor of the City of Vernon be,
and he is hereby authoriz.ed to execute a contract with Moffatt & Nichol, Inc.,
Consulting Engineers. for investigating the possibility of widening the 26th
Street Bridge over the Los Angeles River. in the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be infulI force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of August. 195&.
