RESOLUTION NO. 1978
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF R. C. CERRA JR. FOR. THE FURNISHING OF
THE COMPOSITION ROOFING ON RESERVOIR NO. 1 AT PUMPING pLANT
NO.1 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 203 ApPROVED BY
RESOLtrrION NO. 1968 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on the 18th day of September, 1956 at 2 olclock
p. m. sealed bids were opened for the furnishing of the compoaition roofing
on reaervoir No. 1 at pumping plant No. 1 in accordance with Specifications
No. 203; and
WHEREAS, under date of September 28, 1956, Harold A.
Barnett, Consulting Engineer, submitted to the City Council a letter stating
that the bid of R. C. Cerra Jr. was the lowest bid received meeting the bid
requirements, and recommends that said bid be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLYED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Yernondoes
hereby authorize the execution of a contract with R. C. Cerra Jr. fQr the
compoaition roofing on reservoir No.1 at pumping plant No.1 for a total
price of $8, 364.85 net, said work to be completed within thirty (30) calendar
days after award of contract, in accordance with Specifications approved by
Resolution No. 1968 of the City of Yernon.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to unsuccessful
bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Yernon is hereby
directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall be in full force and effect.
