RESOLUTION NO. 1980
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR
BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF VERNON
OF ONE LINE .MARKER MACHINE AND ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE
WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 205 OF SAm CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing
and delivery to the City of Vernon one line marker machine and accessories
in accordance with Specifications No. 205 of said CitY4 approved by Resolutio
No. 19794 and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals contained in said Specifi-
cations No. 205.
SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general circulation
printed4 published and circulated in the City of Vernon4 the City Clerk is
hereby directed to post said notice.. or cause the same to be posted4 in three
of the most public places in said CitY4 to wit: The northwest corner of 38th
Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
Pacific Boulevard4 and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of
the City of Vernon4 located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said City.
SECTION 3 :
The first posting of said notice shall be not less
than ten (to) days before the date of opending bids for the proposed equipment.
The notice shan distinctly state the equipment

23 SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the pa.ssage of this Resolution and thereupon and. thereafter the
25 same shall be in full force and effect.

8 Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Vernon~
9 California~ at the City Clerk1s office of said City at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue.
10 Vernon 58. California. until 2:00 o'clock p.m. on October 16. 1956. for the
11 furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon of one line marker machine and
12 acces-sortes. in accordance with Specifications No. 205 approved by said City.
13 The propos-als will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers of
14 the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue. Vernon~ California. on the
15 date and at the time above-mentioned. Specifications and contrad documents
16 may be obtained at the above--mentioned offic.e of the City Clerk. upon payment
17 of a. deposito! ten dollars ($10.00) for each specification.
18 The equipment to be furnished under said specification is as

Each proposal must be accompained by a certified or cashier's
check or bid bond in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the estimated
aggregate amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder.. if an award is
made to him in accordance with the terms of his proposal. will promptly
eXecute a contract in the required form. and furnish a satisfactory bond for
the faithful performance of the contract.
The City reserves the right to rej~t any or all bids. to waive
any informality in any bid. and to make awards as. the interest of the City
may require. This notice is given by order of the City Council.
