A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCn.. OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 DECLARING PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAG.ES TO BE USED
FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF MOTOR CONTROL
4 EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES AT PUMP HOUSE NO. 2,,3576
EAST VERNON A VENUE~ CITY OWNED PROPERTY ~ IN THE CITY OF

6 THE CITY COUNCn.. OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
8 ascertained and does hereby find .and declare that the general prevailing
9 rate per diem for wages for laborers" workmen and mechanics employed
10 by contractors and sub-contractors" for the doing of any work set forth
11 in Spec.ifications No. 204 and Plan No. B5-1414" which specificatlons
12 and plan were duly adopted by the City Council on October 16" 1956 by
13 Resolut.ion No. 1985" is as follows:
14 The general prevailing rate or the per diem wage.s and rates
15 for legal holidays and over-time work in the locality in which this work
16 is to be performed" for each craft or type of workman or mechanic needed
17 to execute the contract wich win be awarded to the successful bidder" the

Any classification omitted herein shall be paid at an hourly wage rate
not less: than $2.10 per hour.

1 Overtime - not less than one and one..half (1-1/2) times the above
rates.

Sundays and holidays - not less than one and one-ha1f(1-1 /2) times
3 the above rates.
4 The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a
5 working day of eight (8) hours. The hourly wage rate shall be the per diem
6 rate divided by the aforementioned number of hours constituting a working
7 day.
8 Notice is also hereby given that.. pursuant to said Labor Code
9 of California.. it shall he mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the con-
10 tract is awarded" and upon any subcontractor under him.. to pay to all
11 laborers.. workmenuor mechanics employed by them in the execution of
12 the contract not less than the said specified rates.. which rates shall he
13 included in the contract to the successful bidder.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
16 same shall be in full force and effect.
17 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of October.. 1956.
