RESOLUTION NO. 1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF CENTRAL CHEVROLET COMPANY FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE NEW 1956 CHEVROLET 1/2 TON PICK-UP TRUCK
FOR USE OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT.
THE CITY COUNCU. OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREASs under date af Octaber 11$ 1956, Harald A. Barnett,
8 Co.nsulting Engineers submitted to. the City Cauncil a lettersta,ting that
9 he had received three bids far the purchase o.f a pick-up truck for use of
10 the Water Department; and
11 WHEREAS.- Harald A. Barnett, recommended that the bid o.f
12 Central Chevro.let Campany for the sum af $1.- 369.32 plus $54.77 sales tax,
13 less an allowance of $25.00 far the 1946 Studebaker pick-ups o.r a net sum
14 af $1,399.09, be accepted, inasmuch as the Chevralet pick-up has mare
15 advantages aver the ather makes af trucks available;

16 NOW. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council af the City o.f Vernan
18 daes hereby authorize the purchase of o.ne new 1956 Chevrolet 1/2 ton pick-
19 up truck, Model 3104s far the net sum af $1,399. 09, with immediate de-
20 liverys inaccardance with the bid received fram Central Chevralet Co.mpany,
21 1225 East 7th Streets Los Angeles 21s Califo.rnia.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk af the City o.f Vernon shan
23 certify to. the passage af this Resalutianand thereupon and thereafter the
24 same shall be in full farce and effed.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day af Octo.ber, 19S6.
