RESOLUTION NO. 1992
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF ED HERLOCKER & COMPANY FOR REPAIRING
BUILT-UP ROOFS ON .PUMPING PLANT NO. 2# LOCATED AT 3576 EAST
VERNON AVENUE AND THE AUTO REPAIR GARAGE AND THE TEN
ADJOINING GARAGES LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA FE AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. under date of October 23. 1956, Harold A. Barnett.
Consulting Engineer. submitted to the City Council a bid of Ed Herlocker
and Company dated October 9. 1956. for repairing certain roofs at pumping
plant No. 2 and garages of the City; and
WHEREAS. it is recommended that the bid of Ed Herlocker and
Company in the sum of $525.00 be accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECT ION 1:
That the bid of Ed Herlocker and Company
dated October 9. 1956. in the sum of $525.00 for repairing built-up roofs
on Pumping Plant No. 2 located at 3576 East Vernon Avenue, and the Auto
Repair Garage and the ten adjei:ning garages located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue
in the City of Vernon. as set forth in said letter. be. and the same is
hereby accepted.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
21 directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
22 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

AND THE TEN ADJOm.NG GARAGES LOCATED AT 4305 SANTA. FE AVE., VERNON.
CALIF .
The existine roof at the Pumpinr; Plant No.2, 3576 E. Vernon Ave.,
shall not be oompletely reroofed, however, all breaks in the roufine
shall be repaired with plastio oement and fabrio.
The existing built-up roofine on the auto repl.ir r;ar&Ce and. the ten
adjoininc garages snaH not be removed. The existine roofinc shall be
properly prepe.re d to reoeive subsequent ruoi'ing. The entire area.,
shall 'then be covered with a layer of fifteen pound. asphalt felt,
spot moppeo. and shower nailed to the exis'tinC deok. The entire area
shall then be given a solid heavy coating of hot asphalt, into which
wnile hot, there shall be embedded a layer of f/O//= mineral surfaoed
roll roofine. New plastio flashings shall be iIl8talled "Where the
rooting abuts the _11.
PROPGSALt
We propose to f'urnish all labor, material, insurance, equipment, taxes,
etc., neoessary to oomplete the work outlined above for the total
sum of Five Hundred Twenty Five Dollars, (1525.00) payable upon
o<JDpletion of the work. The new roofing will carry our Standard
Main:tenance Guarantee for a period of Two Years (2 Yrs.)
