A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF GEORGE SAVALA PAVING COMPANY FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION OF CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT AND
APPURTENANCES IN SANTA FE AVENUE.. AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS
FROM 27TH STREET TO 57TH STREET.. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 199 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on the 20th day of November, 1956. at 2 o'clock
p. m.. sealed bids were opened for the construction of cement concrete
pavement and appurtenances in Santa. Fe Avenue at certain intersections
from 27th Street to 57th Street in accordance with Specifications No. 199
of said City; and
WHEREAS, under date of November 27. 1956, Harold A.
Barnett. Consulting Engineer. recommended that the bid of George
Savala Paving Company be accepted;
NOW~ THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with George Savala
18 Paving Company for the construction of cement concrete pavement and
19 appurtenances in Santa Fe Avenue at certain intersections from 27th Street
20 to 57th Street" in accordance with Specifications No. 199.

SECTION 3:
That no other bids were received.
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shFtIl
23 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
24 same shall be in full force and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of December. 1956.
