RESOLUTION NO. 2009
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILLIAM R. SHERWIN.. DOING BUSINESS AS
SHERWIN ELECTRIC SERVICE.. FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLA-
TION OF MOTOR CONTROL EQUIPMENT AND APPURTENANCES IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 204 FOR PUMPING PLANT
NO. 2 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on the 7th day of November. 1956# at 2 o'clock
Pol' m. # sealed bids were opened for the furnishing and installation of motor
control equipment and appurtenances at Pumping Plant No.2. 3576 East
Vernon Avenue. in the City of Vernon. in accordance with Specifications
No. 204; and
WHEREAS, the City Council having considered the reports of
Harold A. Barnett. Consulting Engineer. dated November 16. 1956 and
November 28. 1956. finds that the bid of William R. Sherwin. doing business
as Sherwin Electric Service,is the lowest bid received. meeting the bid
requirements; and
WHER EAS # it is r.ecommended that the bid of William R.
Sherwin. doing business as Sherwin Electric Service. be accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
finds that the bid of Sherwin Electric Service is the lowest and best bid
meeting the requirements of the City of Vernon and Specifications No. 204.
and does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with William R.
Sherwin. doing business as Sherwin Electric Service. for the furnishing and
installation of motor control equipment and appurtenances at Pumping Plant
No.2. 3576 East AveNue Avenue. in accordance with Specifications No. 204.
for the total amount of $21.180. 00. delivery and payment to be made in
accordance with said bid.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to
unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
3 same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of December. 1956.
