RESOLUTION NO.
2012
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 1823 AND APPOINTING R. H. KING,
DEPUTY STATE PURCHASING AGENT AND APPOINTING CLARENCE
4 FORNCROOK,. ASSISTANT DEPUTY STATE PURCHASING AGENT FOR THE
CITY OF VERNON. .

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. Resolution No. 1823 passed by the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon appointed A. W. Phillips. Deputy State Purchasing
9 Agent and Clarence Forncrook.Assistant Deputy State Purchasing Agent. for
10 the City of Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS. A. W. Phillips has heretofore retired and is no
12 longer an employee of the City of Vernon.
13 NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Resolution No. 1823 be. and the same
16
15 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2:
That R. H. King be. and he is hereby
17 appointed Deputy State Purchasing Agent for the City of Vernon~ and that
18 Clarence Forncrook be, and he is hereby appointed Assistant Deputy State
19 Purchasing Agent for the City of Vernon. to act in the absence of R. H.
20 King# Deputy State Purchasing Agent for said City.

SECTION 3:
After a state of extreme emergency becomes
effective# and in accordance with the advice of Regional Co-ordinators.
subject to the limitations of the Civil Defense Act of the State of California.
the Deputy State Purchasing Agent shall have authority to procure whatever
is needed upon request of the local Civil Defense Directors. or their
authorized assistants.
SECTION 4:
All purchases under the authority herein
given shall be made upon Procure Order - Vendors Invoice. Form
OCD-53.

SECTION 5:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
3 same shall remain in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of December. 1956.

Vernon 58, California.
Honorable Body:
Resolution No. 1823, which repealed Resolution No.
1722, and appointing Mr. A. W. Phillips, Deputy State Purchas-
ing Agent, and appointing Mr. Clarence Forncrook, Assistant
Deputy State Purchasing Agent for the City of Vernon, to sifn
the procurement orders during a "State of Extreme Emergency,
should be repealed, since Mr. Phillips is no longer employed
by the City of Vernon.
It is recommended, therefore, that a new resolution
be written, appointing Mr. R. H. King as Deputy state Purchas-
ing Agent for the City of Vernon, replacing Mr. Phillips, and
retaining Mr. Clarence Forncrook as Assistant Deputy Purchas-
ing Agent for the City of Vernon.
