RESOLUTION NO. 2013
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
LOS ANGELES & SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY AND ITS LESSEE
THE UNION pACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY.. THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES.. CITY OF MAYWOOD AND THE CITY OF VERNON REGARDING
WARNING SIGNALS AT CROSSING NO. 3A-4.2.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. under date of May 15. 1956 the City Council
authorized the execution of an agreement between the above-named parties
by Resolution No. 1933. which Agreement was never executed by all of the
other parties thereto; and
WHEREAS. it is recommended that the Agreement submitted
by the Board of Supervisors under date of December 10. 1956 be executed
which will supersede the former partiaUy executed contract. for the
replacement of signals at Crossing 3A-4.2 at the inter;lil,ection of Downey
Road and Fruitland Avenue; and
WHEREAS~ the County of Los Angeles has heretofore executed
said Agreement;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute. for and on behalf of the City of Vernon. that certain
Agreement submitted by the Board of Supervisors under date of December 10.
1956. for the replacement of signals at Crossing 3A-4.2 at the intersection
of Downey Road and Fruitland Avenue. and that said Agreement authorized
by Resolution No. 1933. never having been executed by all parties be, and
the same is hereby revoked by the City of Vernon.
SECT ION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
