RESOLUTION NO. 2016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE RESTORATION OF STREET SURFACES WITH
AS.PHALT CONCRETE AND CEMENT CONCRETE IN ACCORDANCE
4 WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 197 OF SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. the U. S. Paving Co. was awarded the contract
8 for the restoration of street surfaces with asphalt concrete and cement
9 concrete in accordance with Specifications No. 197 of said City; and
10 WHEREAS.. Harold A. Barnett. Consulting Engineer of the
11 City of Vernon has reported to the CityCouncil under date of December 21,
12 1956. that the said U. S. Paving Company has completed said work in
13 accordance with said Specifications No. 197 and the contract executed
14 August 16. 1956 between said Company and the City of Vernon" in a
15 satisfactory manner; and
16 WHEREAS.. said Consulting Engineer recommends that the
17 work be accepted; and
18 WHEREAS. the contract price is $23# 133.92; and
19 WHEREAS. 90% of the contract price.. or the sum of $20,820.53
20 is due and payable to U. S. Paving Co. under the terms of said contract.
21 and the remaining 10% or $2# 313.39 is due thirty-five days after the accept-
22 ance of said work.
23 NOW.. THEREFOREa BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the restoration of street surfaces
with asphalt concrete and cement concrete by U. S. Paving Co. be. and the
same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
Specifications No. 197 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That the payment of $20# 820.53. or
90% of said contract price" shall be paid to U. S. Paving Co. # with the
balance due 35 days after the date of this Resolution.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
2 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter
3 the same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of January.. 1957.
