RESOLUTION NO. 2020
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF VERNON AND WESTERN IRON AND METAL COMPANY.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS. Western Iron and Metal Company. a California
7 corporation. is desirous of constructing and maintaining a private six (6)
8 inch diameter cast iron pipe water line. together with a twelve (12) inch
9 diameter steel pipe casing and a steel reinforced cement concrete valve
10 box in and across the first alley east of Santa Fe Avenue in the City of
11 Vernon. as shown on City Engineerts drawing #A4-1424 and the .License
12 Agreement approved by the City Attorney as to form and legality and
13 approved by the City Engineer as to location and engineering; and
14 WHEREAS. the City of Vernon will suffer no detriment in per-
15 mitting said work to be done in the manner specified in the License proposed
16 to be given to Western Iron and Metal Company;

17 NOW. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City of Vernon hereby authorizes the
19 granting of a license to the said Western Iron and Metal Company for the
20 construction and maintenance of a private six (6) inch diameter cast iron pipe
21 water line. together with a twelve (l2) inch diameter steel pipe casing and
22 a steel reinforced cement concrete valve box in and across the first alley
23 east of Santa Fe Avenue inthe City of Vernon to comply with the License
24 Agreement and specifications approved by the City Attorney and the City
25 Engineer. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to

execute said License Agreement .on behalf of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
