RESOLUTION NO. 2022
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF COMPOSITION ROOFING AND
APPURTENANCES ON RESERVOIR NO. 1 AT PUMPING PLANT NO. 1
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 203 AND ENGINEER'S
DRAWINGS. PLAN NO. B15-1403.. CONSISTING OF ONE (1) SHEET.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. R. C. Cerra. Jr.. doing business asR. C. Cerra
Roof Co.. was awarded the contract for the construction of composition
roofing and appurtenances on Reservoir No. 1 at Pumping Plant No. 1 in
accordance with Specifications No. 203 and Engineer's Drawings. Plan
No. B15-1.403. consisting of one(l) sheet; and
WHEREAS. Harold A. Barnett, Consulting Engineer of the City
of Vernon has reported to the City Council under date of January 31. 1957~
that the said R. C. Cerra. Jr., has completed the construction work in
accordance with Specifications No. 203. Engineer's Drawings. Plan No.
B15-1403. consisting of one (l) sheet. in a satisfactory manner. and
recommends that said work be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the construction of composition roofing
and appurtenances on Reservoir No.1 at Pumping Plant No.1 be. and
the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
Specifications No. 203. Engineer's Drawings. Plan No. B15-1403. con-
sisting of one (1) sheet. heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
There is now dueR. C. Cerra. Jr.. the sum
of $7.. 594. 4.4, being 90% of the contrp.ct price, and the balance of $843.83
shall be paid to said R. C. Cerra. Jr.. after 35 days, upon his furnishing
to the City a satisfactory Certificate of Guara.ntee for said roof.
SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs payment of $7,594.44 to R. C. Cerra, Jr., upon the adoption of
this resolution and the balance. or $843.83. 35 days after the date of

1 adoption of this resolution. subject to the condition set forth in Section 2
2 of this Resolution.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
4 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
5 same shall be in full force and effect.
