RESOLUTION NO. 2025
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CrrYOF VERNON
ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT FROM SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY~ A
CORPORATION~ TO A PORTION OF SECTION 9" TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH..
RANGE 13 WEST # FOR UTILITIES AND STREET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Company, a corporation.. has
granted to the City of V ernonaneasement across a parcel of land being
a portion of Section 9, Township 2 South" Range 13 West, S. B. B. & M.
in the City of Vernon, for utilities and street purposes; and
WHEREAS, said description of land has been checked by the
Consulting Engineer of the City of Vernon, and said easement has been
approved as to form by Carson B. Hubbard" City Attorney.
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
accepts the aforesaid Grant of Easement from Southern Pacific Company,
a corporation, together with the property conveyed thereby, and directs
the recording of said Deed with the County Recorder of Los Angeles
County, California.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of February, 1957.
