2029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER TO G. G. FISHER
PAVING CO.. FOR GRADING AND PLACING OF ASPHALT CONCRETE
ON SHOULDER AREAS ON EACH SIDE OF 28TH STREET APPROXIMATELY
TwcfHUNDRED FIVE FEET EASTERLY OF THE CENTER LINE OF
SANTA FE AVENUE IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ the center twenty feet of 28th Street approximately
two hundred five feet easterly of the centerline of Santa Fe Avenue has been
paved with asphalt concrete surface; and
WHEREAS. Harold A.. Barnett" Consulting Engineer of the
City of Vernon~ reports to the City Council under date of March 1~ 1957~
that as a result of current rains the shoulder areas on each side of the street
within the above-mentioned limits" should be graded and paved; and
WHEREAS~ a bid has been received from G. G. Fisher Paving
CO.II in an amount not to exceed $1~ 329.20 for doing said work" and the
Consulting Engineer recommends that a purchase order be issued toG. G.
Fisher Paving Co." to do the proposed paving work.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECT ION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
20 hereby accepts the bid of G. G. Fisher Paving Co. ~ for grading and paving
21 the shoulder areas on 28th Street approximately two hundred five feet
22 easterly of the centerline of Santa Fe Avenue~ and instructs a purchase order .
23 be issued to said G. G. Fisher Paving Company for the doing of said work.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pas.sage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same . shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED This 5th day of March~ 1957.
