RESOL UTION NO.
2030
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 APPROVING THE ACTS OF THE CONSULTING ENGINEER AND THE
CITY ATTORNEY IN NEGOTIATING WITH WILTON W. HANKE COMPANY"
4 AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH SAID
WILTON W. HANKE" DOING BUSINESS AS WILTON W. HANKE COMPANY"
5 FOR THE REMOVAL OF STREET CAR RAILS ON SANTA FE AVENUE
AND ON LEONIS BOULEVARD IN THE CITY OF VERNON.

7. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
8 WHEREAS. the Consulting Engineer and the City Attorney
9 of the City of Vernon have negotiated with Wilton W. Hanke. doing business
10 as Wilton W. Hanke Company. for the removal of street car rails on
11 Santa Fe Avenue and on Leonis Boulevard in the City of Vernon; and
12 WHEREAS. certain tracks are to be excepted from said work
13 as indicated by the Consulting Engineer; and
14 WHEREAS. a contract has been prepared by the City Attorney
15 setting forth the work to be done and the tracks to be excepted therefrom
16 and recommends the approval of said contract by the City;

17 NOW.. THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the acts of the.Consulting Engineer and
19 of the City Attorney in negotiating with Wilton W. Hanke. doing buginess
20 as WiltonW. Hanke Company. for the removal of certain rails on Santa Fe
21 Avenue and on Leonis Boulevard in the City of Vernon be. and the same are
22 hereby ratified. and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby instructed to
23 execute the contract on behalf of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of March. 1957.
