RESOLUTION NO. 2031
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE WORK OF MOFFATT & NICHOL, INC.a UNDER
CONTRACT DATED AUGUST 21.. 1956, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION
NO. 1974 OF SAID CITY, AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT THEREFOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. under date of August 21.. 1956.. a contract was
entered into with Moffatt and Nichol.. Inc... for investigating the possJbility
of widening the 26th Street Bridge over the Los Angeles River.. as
approved by Resolution No. 1974; and
WHEREAS.. Harold A. Barnett.. Consulting Engineer of the
City of Vernon.. has reported to the City Council under date of March 1..
1957.. that said firm of Moffatt & Nichol.. Inc... has complied with the
requirement of said contract above-mentioned.. and recommends payment
of the. demand. submitted by Moffatt & Nichol.. Inc... for the sum of
$3.. 842.20 for work done under said contract;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the demand of Moffatt & NichOl.. Inc...
in the sum of $3.. 842.20 for work performed under contract dated August 21..
1956 and approved by Resolution No. 1974 be. and the same is hereby
approved and authorized to be paid.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shan be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of March. 1957.
